Our Core Markets
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is ripe for the production of renewable energy. With an abundance of sunshine and large areas of abundant flat land near road and transmission grid, it has the potential to become a top player in the fast-evolving solar energy sector.
The International Energy Agency has identified solar power as one of the key technologies that are at the heart of the energy technology revolution, because it can make the largest contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Almost all countries in the MENA region, have ambitious solar power generation goals as well as evolving policies and regulatory frameworks to support these goals. Most countries have already started gathering data from real surface conditions by deploying test projects as a prelude towards announcing major projects. Photovoltaic (PV) electricity had reach grid parity in many MENA countries.
In the following MENA Countries Terra Sola has active PV projects under active development: Algeria- Bahrain – Egypt – Morocco – Jordan – Kuwait – Oman – United Arab Emirates
All projects in this region generate a sum of almost 7,000 MWp worth approx. US$ 6 billion.
